Cold and windy afternoon.

The day of the site visit was a lovely, still, warm morning. An unusual event! When I arrived the evening before, the wind was whipping off the ocean, and sand was blowing across the road north of the tanker jetty.

And the next afternoon was a chilly one, after a 32 degree day. Thunder rolled in and the next morning torrential downpours! It certainly is a place of weather extremes. A lot of what will be required by the design will be shelters from the winds.

It is well used path, for walking, cycling, joggin etc.

 etc.

The dumped sand is flowing onto the road - blowing off the beach, forming dunes and slipping towards the esplanade.
