Stonehenge

Not exactly relevent, this 'replica' is on a farm near a quarry about 20 miles from town along the coast...but it does indicate that anything is possible in Esperance...

Approaching from side streets.

the Tanker Jetty

The tanker jetty is beyond the scope of part 1B, but will be the next stage of works. The area which is within site 1B starts just south of the jetty. The community is very keen to keep some sort of jetty, but the existing jetty has about 2 years of life remaining.

The tanker jetty

Although not within the scope of works for this stage, it is probably helpful to see images of and from the jetty.

Shire does not have a specialist horticulturalist. Also, engineering will be LAndscapers responsibility. Dept of Transport have coastal engineers, and should anything be required, it will be prefered that we use them.

A great fat smelly seal called Sammy lives around the jetty, eating fish people throw him. This jetty fundraising sculpture is, I fear,  somewhat more elegant than the real Sammy.

There is some unfortunate building happening.

"Pine trees are part of the Esperance identity..."

Poles

There is quite a collection of public art in the town.  There is a festival of the wind held each year, and there is quite an active arts community, and openness to art projects.

Maintenance, however, is another issue!
